Holidays and events not occurring/disappearing from calendar on the day

I have exactly the same problem. I tried everything suggested above. 

Weather and events work in the new save file, but not in the one I created before I purchased Seasons. 

I play on Mac and also repaired the game in Origins. 

I have no Mods or custom content. 

Any help is highly appreciated 🙂
