Horse Ranch Lagging

Hey everyone, 

I’ve been having issues with sims 4 lagging since I downloaded horse ranch. (I’ve never had problems with this before so i think it’s the pack). They just seem to stand still while time passes by. Going to the menu and closing it doesn’t help. If I close the game and open it, it goes to the time stamp that it froze. I’ve tried repairing the game, deleting the files and downloading it again and adding my saved files back to the game and nothing helps. I don’t have any mods so I know it’s not that. Did anyone else have this issue? If so, what did you do to fix it?

    @KathBoss25  Does this happen in a new save in a clean folder?  Please test:  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and let me know how it runs.

    If the new save is fine, try adding one of your old saves to the new folder, but nothing else yet, and test that too.

    Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
