Ivifroldan Did you remove the entire Mods folder, AND repair the game afterwards? If not, please do so now. And if the first household you choose doesn't load, try a different one, preferably one you've never played before. Please try a new save as well, for comparison's sake.

Yes, I removed the entire mods folder and entered the game for it to create a new one (I still haven't placed them back). I did not repair the game because the EA app won't let me since I own the game on Steam, the only option I have is to verify the game files. Now, I tried loading onto an unplayed household and it just goes onto an infinite loading screen, I must have waited for 20/30 minutes and nothing changed. I'll try a new save now to see if anything changes.

okaay... I tried a new save and it indeed load up, I hope my save file isn't corrupted... I'll try to see if I can create a new sim on the problematic save to see if anything changes.

So in the end I came to the conclusion that all the save files prior to the update no longer load, only those created after the update do, relentless if I have mods installed or not.
