how much ram gb is needed to play sims?
I'm looking at buying the ibuypower pc for $799 and it has 8gb of ram. Is this good for playing sims 4 and all dlc plus cc and mods? Intel Core i5 9400F 8GB DDR4 2666 Memory NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1...
@Millsyyy34 This computer should be able to run all Sims 4 content together, plus your mods and custom content, on ultra graphics settings. If you see lag or framerate drops, it will likely be the game's fault, not your computer's.
You only need 8 GB RAM to run Sims 4 itself, although 16 GB is convenient for multitasking. If you decide your want more memory though, it's cheap and easy to upgrade: another 8 GB might cost $35, and all that's required to install is to open your case and click the module into a slot. Be sure to get something that matches the existing module in both speed and timings, or just get an identical stick, as in, it has the same product number.
