how to fix my cats and dog CAS bug

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? cats and dogs expansion pack
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't think you can find the bug yourself but for me, it started happening once I got my cats and dog expansion pack
What happens when the bug occurs? so what happens is when I go on my game and then go to Create a sim and try to create a pet (dog or cat) the game freezes except for the mouse and if I try to exit the game and save it won't its just frozen nothing will work except for the mouse so I have to completely turn off my computer and it bugs me so much it happens every time I try to make a dog or cat in creating a sim. when I update my hole sims 4 games it still doesn't work, now I can't even customize my own pets or make any so all I can do with the extension pack is use the furniture, clothes, vet, chat with other animals and other pet stuff so I can do everything in the expansion pack but create or customize a dog or cat. what should I do to fix this I need help as soon as possible. I would love to create/ customize dogs and cats for the first time. and if I press an outfit nothing will work and when it freezes the screen itself gets wider, and if I've already started playing and then go make a cat or dog since my games fezzes I cant save what I have done before I made or tried to make the pets so nothings saves if I haven't already saved before I go to make the pets and I have to do everything that didn't save from that day/ time
What do you expect to see? I expect to see my cats and dogs expansion pack create a pet work and not freeze so I can actually make a pet and save it to. I really wanna make a pet so pls someone gives me answers and help I feel like I'm the only person this has happened to before in the history of sims 4 cats and dogs expansion pack. pls pls help
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

so I have tried other things to fix the situation like disable my bugs or delete them all or just put them in another file and nothing worked. but mabey there is something else I can do like redownload my expansion pack (which I don't know how to do) or update, call EA or something any ideas pls tell I'm desperate.

    Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

    You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

    After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

    Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

    If that doesn't work, could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

    what do you mean by put stuff back, and what stuff do i take out then put back and could be a bit more clear on how to reset the files

    What Crinrict is saying is basically try a Sims 4 factory reset -

    Move the Sims 4 folder from the Electronic Arts folder to the desktop, for testing purposes and to backup your Sims 4 files.

    Repair the Sims 4 game. In Origin - right-click on Sims 4 and select Repair.

    After repairing the game, try a new game save without mods. to see if you continue to have issues with your game.

    If all goes well with a new game. You can copy your old saved games from the Sims 4 folder on your desktop to the new Sims 4 folder in [C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4].

    Try playing one of the older saved games. If that goes okay, start to put back the other files and folders. (list of files and folders below).

    - Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    - Tray Folder
    - Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    - Rest of the save games, if any. (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave which is not used anymore.)
    - Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    - Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

    Please note some mods and custom content become outdated with every game patch released. This means you'll need to go through your mods folder to find what needs to be replaced.

    HI @tacolover077

    stuff = your files.

    The link has step by step instructions. Which part do you have issues with exactly ?

    You basically rename the folder, then start the game to create a new folder.

    If the game works, you can then you move your files back one by one from the backup folder to the one that has been newly created by the game and test each time until it stops working again. If it stops working, you'll know which file cause the error.

    I already have did that, but it still won't work by me. The screen turns white, and thats it. Sometimes i can rotate a little bit, but after a few times it turns full white and i can't do anything anymore. Please help.
