Don't really see why I need to, I have literally changed nothing. But anyway.
@citizen_cam Your dxdiag lists a number of failed Windows updates and crashes of a component of the EA App. Your graphics driver is also quite old, which itself could explain the issue. So please start with a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates. If any install, restart again afterwards.
Download the newest driver from Nvidia:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/205173/en-us/
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as Administrator." Choose the Custom (not Express) install and click the box to perform a clean install. Restart again when you're done.
Finally, please force the EA App to try to update. Make sure the App and the EABackgroundService are NOT running in the Task Manager. Open this location:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop
and launch the EAUpdater.exe. If there's nothing to update, no harm done, but this should help if you're a build or two behind and the App hasn't been able to update on its own.
