@robofoxartist It's fine to multitask on your computer. Just play in "windowed fullscreen" (i.e. borderless) or windowed mode rather than fullscreen. Many games respond badly to alt-tabbing from fullscreen mode, including a lot of older ones and some that are much newer than Sims 4.
@citizen_cam Are you running any other apps alongside Sims 4, and does it help to close those before playing? Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Though I will add the more programs I have or alot of stuff going on Ig (idk but just a hypothesis.) the more likely it will have that white screen. Though I would still like to play in full screen mode and listen to music. But if it works with no programs running and I don't see a white screen, then I may just have to have my phone play the music on YouTube. Though if it still persists then it may be a bigger issue.
