Solved

I am having trouble accessing lots in SIMS 4 snowy escape.

I am having trouble accessing lots in SIMS 4 snowy escape. i already uninstall and reinstall the game. But it still doesn't work.

  • @wes11448  Please do two troubleshooting steps together.  First, go into the game's program files, which are in one of these locations by default:

    Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4

    Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4

    Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4

Delete the EP10 folder, which is for Snowy Escape.  Then clear the EA App's cache:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

and download the pack again.  Before launching the game, go into Documents > Electronic Arts and move the Sims 4 folder to the desktop.  When you press Play, a new folder will spawn with no content.

Load a new save and see whether you can access the lots.  If you can, copy over one of the affected saves from your old Sims 4 folder to the new one.  The saves are inside the saves folder inside "The Sims 4," and you can sort the folder by modified date to find the newest saves.

  • @wes11448  Does this happen in only one save, or in all of them?  Please start a new save, if you haven't already, and let me know.

Also, please test with no mods or custom content, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package.

@puzzlezaddict This problem has occurred in all saves. The game still didn't work properly when I took the mode off. Thank you very much for your reply.

@puzzlezaddict The newly made sim is finally able to get to the snowy escape site! But the previously saved sims still cannot go. I tried my best as you said but it still doesn't work. But I'm very happy that the new sim can go. Thank you very much for your help.

@wes11448  If you want to try to fix your saves, you can temporarily disable Snowy Escape.  Here's how:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2017/03/disable-single-packs/

Disable the pack (EP10), load an affected save, use "save as" to rename the save (so the original remains intact as a backup), and quit.  Reenable the pack, i.e. delete the command line, and the save will be as if you've installed SE for the first time.  All the content from the pack will have been removed from the save, butthis may fix the problem within the world itself.  Please test with no mods or cc, at least the first time.

If it doesn't help, then I don't have any other suggestions, unfortunately.
