I can not build walls

Ok, so when i build a wall, i can not see it. I know it is there though as I can see the money has gone. When i place a ready made room, I can see furniture but not the walls. I have also just started a new game and selected the house but nothing shows up when i have selected the house. HELP PLEASE!!
