Same issue here, on the phone with EA for 2 hours and went through their steps and nothing still. This is week #2 trying to figure this out. I honestly can't believe that after reading all the posts and support help there is no end in sight (or refund, since the game package has been "opened")
Have you had luck installing your game? or have you given up?
Reading the previous posts everyone had the disk 2 issue not reading (i did too), its a really simple fix and that is go into your origin account and register/redeem your code for your game, then in your My Games tab find your game and install from there, its a lot better than changing disks etc. and then in no time you will be happily simming. 🙂
