Every time I load the game, it says "Sims 4 is coming down for maintenance" or whatever. It happens EVERY TIME. I can't get on the gallery, when I try to, it says "Please close all active games and restart the game" and I do that, but it still does it. This is getting really annoying. It also does it with Downloadable Content. I have a full account, why is it doing this??
It may be your antivirus, firewall or proxy blocking the access to the game to your internet connection. Please, make sure your antivirus and firewall have TS4.exe and TS4_x64.exe as exceptions and that you are not using any proxy.

Unfortunately, that did not help. I tried disabling my antivirus and firewall, I also had no proxies to begin with, and it's still doing the stupid cannot connect thing.
You mentioned downloadable content. Have you tried to run the game without the custom content in it? Some mods can mess up with your game, so I'd suggest to re-install the game and run it without any custom content first.
