I Can't Activate The Sims 4

Every time I try to open and activate the Sims 4 it says "An Error Has Occurred. We are unable to connect to EA Servers to activate The Sims 4 Digital Deluxe on this computer using your account. Please try again later."

It says I've played the game for 11 hours but I haven't touched it because I can't activate it.

I'm desperate. I've contacted customer service, restarted my computer, reinstalled the game, went offline and online again, disabled my firewall and so many other things and nothing is working. I just want to play the game I bought, and it's been a full week since I've bought the game.

I'm not alone with this situation either. Lots of people have been having this issue from 2014 to now. I'm starting to think buying the game was a mistake...

    @MagicSenpai Is your computer a pc or mac? Is the time and date set correctly (don't laugh - this is a common problem)? What antivirus do you have? Something is blocking the activation. Are you running anything extra (malware, antivirus, etc)?

    add: when you login to Origin does the game icon show up? Do you have more then one Origin account?

     @roberta591PC, date and time are correct. I have AVG, Windows Defender, and I have adware cleaning programs like Malwarebytes and Adware cleaner. My aunt installed something called True Key and then something else called McAfee Security when she visited weeks ago. However I uninstalled both of those.

    And I don't understand what you mean by when the game icon comes up in Origin. I do have another Origin account but I haven't used it in years.

    @MagicSenpai When you log in to Origin - click my games and you should see the game icon. This will indicate your using the correct account. If you don't see the game in Origin try the other account.

    @roberta591 Yep, it's there. I've had the hypothesis that EA's servers are just busted and they aren't fixing them :/

    @MagicSenpai Something must be causing a problem but it is time you will have to contact EA customer support and they can open your account and see what is going on. There must be an issue with your account. This is an open public forum and accounts can not be accessed here. I believe we have exhausted many of the common possibilities. Here is a link EA customer support Please try during normal business hours.
