I can't interact with sims or objects on cloud gaming

Hi, for reference I play sims on xbox cloud gaming as I have a chromebook. Up until yesterday I had no problems whatsoever. All of a sudden I'm unable to interact with objects, other sims or even self-interact. The cursor changes when hovering over things but the interaction menu doesn't appear when clicked. I can still use build mode and move and buy furniture and I can interact with the main menu and settings. I saw posts for similar issues but I'm not sure those solutions are tailored to my situation. I've tried logging out and back in, changing settings (which I reverted back when that didn't work) but no posts referred to cloud gaming. I've even tried using a usb mouse even though my laptop is brand new and there's no fault with my trackpad. Any advice welcome, please help me solve, thanks

  • @HowlsCastle25  With the caveat that I know nothing about cloud gaming, does it make a difference whether you have the game in fullscreen or windowed mode on your laptop?

    And so I'm clear, you're playing the PC version of Sims 4, right?  (I really know nothing about this service other than what I read just now.)  If so, what in-game graphics options do you normally have?  Can you click the three dots in the upper-right corner to bring up the menu, or does that not work either?
