i cant open the sims 4

Everytime i try and open the sims 4 it says its launching but then it doesnt and takes me back to the screen where i can press play. i dont know what i did to mess it up. please help me i dont know w...

    @goddessofbeauty  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

    If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@puzzlezaddict Having the exact same issue and the following solution finally allowed the game to open past the EA app. Would this mean that there is a mod/CC installed that is corrupt?

for me i put a mod in the new file and it was fine soi think its somethingwrong with the file.
