I edited a sim in CAS and now I can't load my save.

Just in case people think this may be the problem, I have emptied my Mods folder.  I have tried the Repair Game option.  Yes I can create a new game, but after the number of hours I have put into this game, it would be really disheartening.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled.  I have rebooted my computer.
