@sasamiraaa I hate the laptop touch pad. I have a small usb travel mouse that I use. As you didn't post the HP model you have I'm not sure as to the touch pad you have. My Dell laptop has buttons beneath the touch pad but it is still different from a generic desktop mouse. Years ago I was on a job out of state and the touch pad buttons were driving me crazy. Went to Wally World and bought a cheap travel usb mouse. No more problems after that.
add: try Start > Settings > Devices > Touchpad and see if you can configure the touch pad or if it is already configured.
@sasamiraaa When you say shift-click doesn't work, do you mean that it does nothing, or that it functions like a regular click instead of bringing up cheat-related options? If the latter, have you enabled cheats (testingcheats true) or added any mods that would add those options to the cheats menu? Without cheats enabled or a mod to enable them automatically, the shift-click isn't supposed to do anything.
Hello, yes I use testingcheats and I don't have mods of that kind. The options are the same as if I click on them without shift(eg:form group ect)
@sasamiraaa Just to be thorough: When you enter testingcheats true , do you see the message that cheats are enabled? If you use a second cheat that requires testingcheats to be active first, for example money x (with x being the amount), does it work?
Does this shift key you're using work outside of Sims 4? Have you tried using the other shift key instead? Does shift-clicking on the ground or an object bring up the menu you'd expect when cheats are enabled? For example, shift-clicking on the ground should offer "teleport me here," and shift-clicking on a sink should offer "make clean" or "make dirty."
