I have windows 7 and I can't download CC for my sims 4 game. Any help?

I've looked up multiple ways to download CC and nothing seems to work. I don't know if it's something to do with Origin... But I can't even find the Sims 4 in the location where it's supposed to be. ...

@sallinger79 Yes I know I'm not supposed to open the files but it won't even let me download them because of Adobe Reader- I'm asking if there is some sort of .zip or .rar program that I can use to download my CC

Your best bet would be to go to the original creator of the files. 
Using mods or custom is the player's personal choice.
EA/Maxis does not support their use.
