I moved my Electronic Arts folder

I accidentely moved my Elektronic Arts folder into another folder. I could play Sims4 without any problems, just that logically my game was resetet. But I could not play with CC. It would not show up.

So I moved my Elektronic Arts folder back to its original place. But now I can´t open Sims4 at all. When I try to open Sims4 I will come back to the EA app.

What can I do to play Sims normally again?

  • @EA_Darko Around last week I wanted to sort out my Documents folder. I accidentelly moved my Electronic Arts folder into another folder I named "Sims 4".
This folder is in the Documents Folder. "This PC > Documents > Sims4"
The Electronic Arts Folder was now in two places. In the Sims4 Folder and the Documents Folder. I accidentelly deleted the one in the Documents Folder. I was only left with the one in the "Sims4" folder. I did not really spend any toughts on it and started to play. Obviously my game got resetet. First I blamed it on the new upedate of Sims4 being for free, but now I know it´s because I moved the folder. The fact that I could not see my mods or CC raised my attention for the first time. Because I activated mods in Sims and had my CC in the Mods folder.
So I moved the Electronic Arts folder back from the "Sims4" folder to Documents.
Now my game is crashed and I can´t open it either form the EA app or from the launcher.
Whenever I want to open Sims4 I come back to the EA app.
I tried to repair Sims but nothing happend.
I restored the Electronic Arts folder, I deleted, but again nothing happend.
Now, I don´t know what to do anymore

Does your Sims 4 folder still have all that it should such as your save file @Anele987?

  • @Anele987  Let's clarify a few things:

    • Does Sims 4 currently open, and can you start a new save?
    • Do you currently have an Electronic Arts folder in Documents, with a Sims 4 folder inside?
    • If the game does NOT open and you do have a Sims 4 folder in Documents > Electronic Arts, does moving this Sims 4 folder make the game work again?

Please let me know, and we can go from there.
