In game time glitch

Frustratingly my in game time in sims is not matching what's going on. It will be 8am and the kids and adults aren't going to work and no notification comes up say to go work or that they are late. Or it will be 11pm and still bright outside. I have to go onto the world map and then back into the house I was playing for the time to be correct but then 5 minutes later its back to being wrong again. 

I've tried new saves, repairing the game. It doesn't start off doing this. It's only when I'm way into the game and have established a family that it starts doing it

    @2547b23nd3pc  Do you play with mods, and if so, does this happen with no mods or custom content present?  Please test in a new save first.  You don't need to delete your existing saves; the point is to narrow down the source of the problem.

    One known cause of this is using a mod to mess with the flow of time.  If you've done this, your existing saves may be corrupted beyond repair, but you can still test with no mods to see whether the saves start behaving normally.
