@WollywoolHello,Unfortunately your computer does not meet the recommended requirements - you are right that the CPU and GPU do not meet it. However, there is still a possibility that your system can play the Sims 4 at low settings, as you do meet the minimum requirements, and based on your hardware. If you would like to play Sims 4 at better graphical settings, then you would need to buy a new computer in order to do so.If you have any more questions, feel free to make your own thread.I hope this helps and keep simming,Cody

Hello,@sapphirehd7870 - If possible, could you check to see whether you have a dedicated NVIDIA graphics chip, as some laptops of your model number have a GT 540M. This information can often be found in the Device Manager program under Display Adapters, or in the System Information program under Components>Display. A dedicated card is more likely to be able to play The Sims 4.@lilycupcake888 - Unfortunately many people who do not meet the minimum requirement of 128MB of dedicated video memory have experienced poor performance in the game, such as the infamous Deformed Baby bug. I would not suggest running The Sims 4 on your laptop.@Muchakis - You meet the minimum requirements, however I would only expect you to be able to play at the lower settings.I hope this helps and keep simming,Cody

You're graphic chip is below minium requirements and the drivers could do with an update.

The demo works. All of it. Even on hig settings.
But I have readed that the HD Graphics 4000 is better than the GMA X4500 somewhere... AHSea Why did I even pre-order the game even after making SURE EVERYTHING WORKS AND FITS!...

Sorry if I sound/look/seem to be very angry. Well, I am very angry.
Anyway, I looked at a page called www.systemrequirementslab.com and found out that the thing wich is wrong is the CPU/Proccessor. Is @ 1.90 GHz.
Is not the graphics, those are fine, its just the CPU. Apparently

Thank you, that's a relief. I finally finished downloading the demo this afternoon and it works perfectly, no hiccups at all. Now I'm really getting excited for the full game...

It's a conjunction. Since you only have a graphics chip, you need more CPU but since your chip only has 32 MB of dedicated memory instead of 128, that is also a problem.

Origin has the great game guarantuee if you wanna try the game before buying (well you buy and you can give it back if it doesn't work)

Once the game is out, you can try it for 24 hours before buying if you buy it on Origin. You might run into issues once they start rolling out EPs :D
