I downloaded and installed Sims 4 at about 7pm ET on 9/2. Payment is processed, game is installed. The game is greyed out, however, and the game description says that the game won't be released to me until 9/3.
My billing address and my Origin account are both in the US. Soooo, why does Origin think that I get a later release date than the rest of my compatriots?
Try using a US based proxy or VPN... I had the same issue, however their helpdesk is worthless and didn't even know that preload began on the 29th. They had me reinstall Origin several times and play with my internet settings to no avail.
