Be aware that you need to update your graphics drivers and you may need to run in Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatibility mode if you have any issues. Check this article for more info and suggestions.

Missing DLLs These DLLs are part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package. MSVCP120.dll - Please see this article for details: Missing msvcp120.dll at The Sims 4 startup. Other dlls (for example, MSVCP100.dll and MSVCR100.dll) - Download and install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013. If you are running a 64bits system, make sure to install both x86 and x64 files (credits to @EA_Nils) I do not recommend downloading the DLL from some third party site cause you never know if you aren't download an incompatible version or a virus to go with it. Use the official MS Page. Origin start up error 0xc000007b (credits to @EA_Nils) This isn't an issue with the Origin Client, but rather with some legacy files missing within the new operating system. Update your MS Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for x64 and x86: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632 Should you still encounter the same issue afterwards, first make sure that you have all optional Windows Updates installed and then run Windows System File Checker as highlighted in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833 As a last resort, you can look into refreshing and resetting your PC as in the linked article. Game is already running message (credits to @pekesims) Find the "Electronic Arts" folder inside "Documents". Right click on it and choose "Properties". In the new window, select the "Sharing", and a few lines below, press the "Sharing..." button. It will open a new window. There's a drop-down list. Choose "Everyone" and then Add. Everyone will be added to the list below. Choose "Read/write" in the permission level for everyone. Save the changes. Open Origin, log in, and try to launch your game again.

Hello,Since upgrading to Windows 10, I have been having nothing but issues. I have been starting the game and as soon as the main window pops up It starts streaking graphically across the screen. Sims 4 wont do anything else. I then have to exit game. I can't play the game with streaks going through the screen. If you can find a solution it would be great. This problem never happened with 8.1.Monica Kern Simmer since day 1

Hello Thuderlord, I suggest trying to do a manual Uninstall of Origin and use CCleaner. I was getting this yesterday and found it appeared to have something to do with the clothing mods I was using. I removed all the mods and deleted them. The game loaded just fine. I started to download them again and the game was loading just fine until I downloaded a couple of brand new ones. I again got the error. I removed thoses files from the mods folder and once again the game was loading. I have no idea why this is happening, but at least the game is loading even though there are an awful lot of Sims roaming around the town in their underwear. I start the game easily, but an award screen won't let me get to starting to play the game. I recently bought it, so there aren't any expansion packs, but I don't know how to get past a screen that tells me I have new things available. Please help and thanks. Happy Holidays!

I just recently went to windows 10 because of one error now I have another I'll just say what the error says and its for the sims 4

Contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f . please help asap

That's an issue with the Visual C++ 2010 redistributable.

Uninstall it through the control panel (both 64 bit and 32 bit) and then reinstall by redownloading 2010 from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003

I can't even open the game. This is the only message I get, I've reinstalled the game, no mods, no expansion packs, all up to date.
Sims 3 works fine, I get like 2500 Frames Per Second though...

Best if you started your own thread. It's probably not a Win 10 issue as such.

Post your specs and as much detail as you can.

Hello. I've had the same error message as the 1 you have posted. If I try and run the Sims 4 in 64 bit mode, on Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) then I get that error message. Alternately, if I run the Sims 4 in 32 bit mode on Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) then the game starts and appears to run normally. I have not actually played the game for any amount of time at the moment. The Sims 4 64 Bit runs like a dream on my Windows 7 Pro (64 Bit). I hope this will be of some help to others.

For that message you should make your own thread and post your spec.

It's most probably unrelated to Windows 10 as such.
