Hi guys, to keep the Windows 10 release a bit organized, I'm making a sticky. I'll be putting solutions/problems on the first page and I'll be moving threads in here. Please put all your issues here. My schedule is a bit tight atm but I wanted to make a thread nonetheless. Be aware that you need to update your graphics drivers and you may need to run in Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatibility mode if you have any issues. Check this article for more info and suggestions.

Missing DLLs These DLLs are part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package. MSVCP120.dll - Please see this article for details: Missing msvcp120.dll at The Sims 4 startup. Other dlls (for example, MSVCP100.dll and MSVCR100.dll) - Download and install Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013. If you are running a 64bits system, make sure to install both x86 and x64 files (credits to @EA_Nils) I do not recommend downloading the DLL from some third party site cause you never know if you aren't download an incompatible version or a virus to go with it. Use the official MS Page. Origin start up error 0xc000007b (credits to @EA_Nils) This isn't an issue with the Origin Client, but rather with some legacy files missing within the new operating system. Update your MS Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for x64 and x86: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14632 Should you still encounter the same issue afterwards, first make sure that you have all optional Windows Updates installed and then run Windows System File Checker as highlighted in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833 As a last resort, you can look into refreshing and resetting your PC as in the linked article. Game is already running message (credits to @pekesims) Find the "Electronic Arts" folder inside "Documents". Right click on it and choose "Properties". In the new window, select the "Sharing", and a few lines below, press the "Sharing..." button. It will open a new window. There's a drop-down list. Choose "Everyone" and then Add. Everyone will be added to the list below. Choose "Read/write" in the permission level for everyone. Save the changes. Open Origin, log in, and try to launch your game again.

Hello,Since upgrading to Windows 10, I have been having nothing but issues. I have been starting the game and as soon as the main window pops up It starts streaking graphically across the screen. Sims 4 wont do anything else. I then have to exit game. I can't play the game with streaks going through the screen. If you can find a solution it would be great. This problem never happened with 8.1.Monica Kern Simmer since day 1

I was getting this yesterday and found it appeared to have something to do with the clothing mods I was using. I removed all the mods and deleted them. The game loaded just fine. I started to download them again and the game was loading just fine until I downloaded a couple of brand new ones. I again got the error. I removed thoses files from the mods folder and once again the game was loading. I have no idea why this is happening, but at least the game is loading even though there are an awful lot of Sims roaming around the town in their underwear. Hmm, I followed the instructions to do a manual uninstall (in fact, whenever I saw an Origin Games entry I deleted those as well) and then used CCLEANER to clean nearly everything I could checkmark. Still no luck.
When I re-installed Origin after all this cleanup it knew what my account info was and logged me in automatically. I figure I may have missed something when cleaning the registry, as I'm pretty sure it shouldn't have remembered the account info. When I re-installed Sims 4 and tried it, same error message.

Important if you upgrade to an newer operating system, make sure and delete afterwards the "windows old" folder. The conflict often arises through old files from the previous operating system.

How do i remove it, follow the Microsoft instructions

Move Options.ini on your desktop and start the game again.
c://Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4
This file can be recreated, including with the new operating system.
Delete all Sims cache files

Be sure that all mods are still compatible with the new operating system!

@JessandThomas22 No, it means that you had a mod which was incompatible with the new game version. Windows 10 was not the problem.

You can have mods, but make sure they are compatible with the current version of the game.

Since updating to Windows 10, I can no longer use the scroll wheel to rotate the view. Can anyone help me figure this out? I originally thought i couldn't edge scroll either but once I remembered the hotkey for full screen that is working again minus going down. I can not edge scroll down either.

I recently got a new computer with windows 10 and I can't open up the cheat console once I'm in game. I have tried repairing my game, closing other open windows before playing, switching other programs "Ctrl+Shift+C" hockey if any of them had them. Is this just a patch that needs to be released to work with Windows 10? If not what is another way I can open the cheat console?

So I haven't tried playing SIms 4 since upgrading to Windows 10 and I was feeling simmy today so I decided to try today and it came up with missing msvcp100.dll file so try reinstalling the game. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but then another error message came up saying that origins won't run because the same file is missing. I uninstalled origins. Tried to start the sims installer and two error messages came up saying i'm missing msvcp100.dll and msvcp110.dll so I found a video tutorial on youtube to figure out how to fix the msvcp100.dll problem. I followed it step by step and still said that file is missing when I clearly installed and replaced the old msvcp100.dll file. I didn't even try to install another msvcp110.dll file. Just came here looking for answers. Help?

@adesonie Could you check your settings in Options if they are still the same as they were before

@SimsLover1819 Did you try a clean boot to make sure it's not a program intervening or just turned them all off ?
