@kiddourte While the game will probably run on that machine but I would recommend if your going to run 3D graphical games on your next computer  that you get a computer with a dedicated graphics system rather then using the graphics chip that is integrated into the processor chip. While integrated graphics has improved a lot in recent years IMO dedicated graphics is still better. Laptops tend to be more delicate then desktops and may need more servicing so I recommend how the seller supplies after sales service. I recommend Dell as I have 2 Dell laptops and only recently thought about replacing the XPS 14z only because I want a bigger screen. So I recommend getting a laptop with switchable graphics.

  • @kiddourte  It would be useful to have a little more info about this laptop, but in general, a model with this processor and graphics chip should be able to run Sims 4, all packs included, on high graphics settings.  You might be able to play on ultra settings, depending on your playstyle and which packs you install, as well as a few other factors about the laptop itself, but it's definitely not guaranteed.

The only way running Sims 4 would damage your laptop is if you allowed it to overheat, and even then, computer hardware will throttle itself to keep temperatures within a safe range.  Still, make sure to play on a hard flat surface like a desk, or else use a laptop tray or cooling pad or fan.  As long as the laptop is built properly, you should be fine.

With only 8 GB RAM, you'll also want to keep multitasking to a minimum while playing.  Having a browser window or two open is fine, but running a handful of apps alongside the game could also negatively impact performance.  It certainly wouldn't damage your laptop; it's just that you might see slowdowns here and there.
