Could you post the exact error message you're getting ? Is the game on your account ? Does it show in my games or still only the game time one ?
I tried what you said, and it worked! I'm waiting for it to be installed now. Thank you so much!

How about for mac, would you know how i do it on therE?

Mac is download only.
What issues do you have with the Origin download ?
It's best if you made your own thread so a mac helper can assist you, maybe even in the Origin forum.

There were some issues earlier.
Do you still have trouble now ?
Did you buy the game on disc or on Origin ?

tillyblue,.. thank you so much. Your offline method works great. But this took me hours to find. How would any newby know how to do this?
There should be an "Install Sims 4" icon". We should click it and then it should just work no matter what. Registration comes later. I paid for it over the counter in a shop and have the original DVD/CD in the box. It's mine and can't use it without wasting almost a day on my time. I'm extremely far from the only one with issues as I've trolled the internet for a solution.
EA can't possibly expect everyone to do this rubbish.
Why the firewall clean registry UAC stuff when everything on my computer works perfect. Nothing is wrong with my computer and I shouldn't have to fix something that's not broken. And I will certainly NOT disable UAC which Microsoft put there to to stop unwanted software being installed without the users knowledge.
So I ask anyone who can answer, why do people have to do all this rubbish to install the game on computers that are perfectly fine? (Taking into consideration that some people have the original box with discs)
- I had already installed the game, olayed fine for a while, and after the last update the game will nit open. I ha e tried removing mods folder, uninstalling and reinstalling, loading through origin and through desk top icon. Nothing is working. I want to play my game!
