IS THIS A GOOD COMPUTER HELPP

Hi i bought a computer but it is making my game lag so bad.. I still have time to return this computer and get a better one. I ordered this one?? I have most of the sims 4 expansion packs. Is it a good computer.

Lenovo - IdeaPad Slim 3i 15.6" Full HD Laptop - Intel Core i3-N305 2023 - 8GB Memory - 128GB UFS - Arctic Grey

If not can you link good computers under $400?

  • mckaylagracee  An M1 Mac should run Sims 4 fine, probably better than the last laptop I linked but not quite as well as the other two.  There are currently some weird Mac-specific issues that only show up on some computers though, and it's not clear why.  So you could see none of the issues, or have a bit of trouble playing in certain contexts.

This is $400 and has a slightly faster graphics chip and even more RAM and storage, so it's the one I'd suggest if you're otherwise happy with it:

If you want to keep the price down, this is the best option I'm seeing for $300 or less.  It does only have 8 GB RAM, but that's not a fatal flaw, especially with 500 GB storage (the processor can use storage to swap data that would normally be in RAM).  Its graphics chip is somewhat faster than the chip in the laptop you've listed, although not as fast as the chips in the two above.

If you have more questions, please feel free to ask.

hi the currency is USD. Would the game work okay on the one i listed

  • mckaylagracee  I didn't realize the computer you were asking about was one you were considering getting now, not the one you already had.  At any rate, please see my previous reply.  I've merged your posts into one thread to keep everything together.

  • Just got a new computer and my sims 4 laggs so much.. I have time to trade it in and just ordered another one. Will this work?

  • mckaylagracee  This isn't a great computer for Sims 4.  It's not terrible as things go, but the RAM and storage are going to be limiting.  The graphics chip is too, but I'm not sure how much better you could get for your budget.  I'd be happy to look though.  Please let me know what currency $400 is in.

If this is in fact the best you can do, at least for the moment, I can make some suggestions to try to get Sims 4 running well.  But I'll look for a better laptop first.
