Issues with freelance/acting career

When I play a household with a freelance or acting career, I can’t seem to stop in the middle of the career, during the gig, leave the household, and come back to it later without the gig clearing off the job tab. I end ou having to get a new gig each time I play in the household and then stay with that gig until it is completed which is two or three sim days later. Is there any way to fix this? I want to be able to leave a household in 24 sim hours then come back to it later without losing progress on the gigs or having to restart it. I only have issues with the careers that have gigs like freelance and acting.

    If you mean that you exited (and saved) the game then when you load it again you are asked which Sim to control. You should select the Sim that are doing a gig or the gig will end with the current score as if you had chosen not to follow the sim to work.
