Issues with Origin

Just purchased a hard copy of The Sims 4. To begin the installation it requires you to either log in to Origin or create an account. The create an account link is inaccessible so I used my phone to create an account. Now when I try to log on at the same step of the installation it gives me an error saying that I must be online when logging in for the first time. I have a good internet connection and verified my ability to access the internet.

    You should reset internet browser : 

    1. Close all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.
    2. Reopen Internet Explorer.
    3. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options.
    4. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset. ...
    5. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.

    Then test the game
