kits with minimum requirements windows 10 can they work fine on windows 8.1?

I want to buy 3 clutter kits for sims4 but it says minimum requirements windows 10, I have windows 8.1. (its pretty low end pc too). I have Sims 4 base game, GTW, holiday stuff free pack, romantic g...

    @Lightsims8 

    It is likely because they do not have any WIN 8.1 PCs to test on so to be safe they state the lowest they have tested on. The packs may work on WIN8.1 but to be sure you would have to test yourself. Just remember that they are nonrefundable so if they do not work you would lose some money at least until you can afford a better PC.

@Lightsims8  Kits have a negligible impact on the demands Sims 4 places on a system, as do most stuff packs and some older game packs.  So add all the kits you want, plus SPs and GPs one at a time if you're interested in them.  Keep in mind that you can always disable a pack if it's hurting performance; your account will own it forever, so you can play it on a new machine if and when you buy one.

Added 8 more kits, bunch said windows 10. good so far. I'm being cautious with stuff packs though, cool kitchen stuff had put severe lag & hook ups on my system long ago, & had to take it out. That's why I never added anything since then, thought my PC couldn't handle it. But recently googled to see if someone else lagged with that one, & another person had an issue with it. I'm glad EA gave romantic garden for free, or I'd never have known I could get more expansions. It allowed me to try it risk free, so they made way more money from that good marketing idea, & I got to play packs I thought I'd have to wait years to play, (till I decide to get a gaming PC, no rush, too expensive.) Very glad they did that 🙂
