Lagging after update

Hello I updated my game with origin but I decided to switch over to the EA app and it went okay...but I noticed the game was lagging way to much! And it's not simulation lag or anything related to the game perform itself my Sims and fps were pretty normal but sometimes the game window freeze when travelling, clicking objects or doing anything to be honest the loading screens took longer than usual and all of that... My game with all those random freezes didn't crash fortunately but it was pretty annoying since it never happened to me while using origin, what can I do?

  • @kathydana  You don't need to uninstall the EA App at all.  You can have both on your computer at the same time; you just can't run both at the same time.  If you get an error when trying to install or open Origin, restart your computer, or open the Task Manager and kill the EABackgroundService.exe.

  • @kathydana  Try putting the EA App in offline mode before you launch the game.  I don't know whether it'll help, but has made a difference with Origin in the past.

If you still get lag, you can just reinstall Origin and keep using it for now.

If that doesn't help either, please start a new save and play in one of the base game worlds.  Let me know how it runs.

If the new save lags too, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

Thanks for the answer! I did in fact use the offline mode right after downloading the EA app but it does get laggy/freeze the game I posted my full problem in the EA app forum (I wasn't sure if I should have posted it here or not 😅) I'm thinking in going back to origin do I have to uninstall the new app or it would do it automatically?
