I moved your thread to the Sims 4 PC Technical Issues board to try and help you stop these crashes. 

Did the game crash for you only this one time, and you could continue playing without issues, or does it crash every time you try to resume it?

If these crashes persist every time you try to resume, please try to recover the save; it might have been damaged.

Checking if these crashes persist after starting a new save and trying to resume it could also help isolate the problem.

Going through the steps in our guide to resolve crashes and freezing problems, including reinstalling the game and clearing the cache, might also make a difference. At times, the installation data or some temporary cached file is involved.
