launching Sims 4 takes over control of my keyboard lighting

Hi,

Every time I launch the Sims 4, my keyboard's lighting completely alters to a flashing display. I am then blocked out of the Logitech software manager in which I can normally adjust the lighting settings. No matter what, I am unable to open the keyboard manager software while Sims 4 is running.

When I exit the game, my lighting resets and I am able to launch the Logitech software again.

This is really frustrating and the flashing lights are annoying enough that I don't want to play the game.

I can't find anywhere in the Sims 4 launcher that lets me disable this so I am assuming there is a bug. I do not have this issue with other games through the EA App.

Thanks.

Go to Game Options Other and deselect Dynamic lighting for supported devices. I believe there is some setting in the G Hub software as well.

If you use "GHub": Click the menu button. (Three dashes top left) > Settings > Uncheck "ALLOW GAMES & APPLICATIONS TO CONTROL ILLUMINATION"

If you use "Logitech Gaming Software": Click the cogwheel bottom left corner > General > Uncheck "allow games to control illumination" and "Show game integration customization View" > click "OK".
