Looking to purchase a new laptop to play the sims 4 *HELP!* UK £

I’m thinking that a 2 in 1 would give me more use than just for this sims what do you think? 

@Jessicalynn134  Of these two, the Lenovo has a slightly faster processor and graphics chip, the latter being roughly equivalent to the Intel Xe graphics in the first laptop you listed previously.  It's nowhere near the speed of the MX450, but it's not a bad choice.  The HP is fine too, just it's a little slower and a little more expensive.  So all else being equal, the Lenovo would be the better option, but if you liked the HP better for other reasons, it would still be a very reasonable choice.

I don't know how you'd use this laptop, so I can't tell you if a 2-in-1 would be useful.  I can say for sure that Sims 4 doesn't work well with touchscreens, so the game is definitely not a reason to get one.  The other concern with this class of laptop is that it's more prone to overheating than a traditional model would be.  The thin chassis doesn't have much room for a cooling apparatus.  This might not be a problem with typical tablet-style use, but in heavy gaming, you might find you need to augment the cooling system with a fan or cooling pad.

I personally have no use at all for a tablet or 2-in-1, so I'm not really equipped to walk you through the decision-making process.  But I'd suggest you think about how you actually use computers and whether there's anything you do that would clearly be a better experience on a tablet, or a laptop functioning as a tablet. 

@puzzlezaddict Thank you once again for your response you have been a massive help and I really appreciate it! I have weighed up all your advice and I'm going to stick with your original recommendation of the Acer with the MX450!
