lost sims 4 expansion pack cd code-- is there a way to get it back?

i was able to get back into my old pc recently and i was planning on installing sims 4 on it and removing it from my current pc (as my current one wasn't built for playing games and tends to get too warm) but i lost the cd key for the expansion pack i have (cats and dogs, idk if that matters though) and i was wondering if there was a way i could get it back somehow. i'd rather not have to pay to get another. if i were to log into my origin account on my old laptop, would i be able to just install it that way (and not have to enter the code for the expansion pack since i already installed it once) or am i just stupid in thinking that it would work that way? is there i way i could just copy and paste the folders and such from my current pc to the old one? would it even work that way/would the computer recognise the expansion pack as being installed onto the computer if i did it that way?
@florentinenoble The process is much simpler: login to Origin on your new computer and download the game. When you buy a game or redeem a code, it's tied to your Origin account, not to the computer onto which it's installed. So you can use the same account to install on a number of different computers without having to buy anything a second time.
