Lots and venues disappearing

So every time I travel to a lot or an event(e.g. karaoke night at the lounge/bar) and I arrive at the lot, the building disappears. My sim had prom one time and traveled to the auditorium venue, and it wasn’t there. Some of my sim homes also disappeared. I constantly have to bulldoze the lots I’m able to, to replace new buildings so they become functional again(e.g. restaurants and gyms etc.). It’s so exhausting and the game isn’t fun anymore. 

Help please, as I tried deleting localthumbnail.cache plenty times and I don’t have any mods or CC. I load/restore previous saves but the same thing keeps happening. My overall experience playing has really downgraded… I don’t know if it has to do with the new updates as I dropped the game for a while and when I finally decided to play again, this is what’s happening.
