Managed to fix my problem where it crashes during launch after update

So I tried everything possible and that was recommended to do. But what worked for me, is to go to settings on your pc and then to display-graphic. From there you should scroll down till you see The ...

It says that no app is listed. Click on the browse button and search for the sims 4, look for the file TS4_x64. Ones you have added the game to this list as an app, you will be able to see the button for alternative when you click on the app.

so I have tried this after not finding it in the list.  When I search for TS4_x64 it says no results found.  Any idea on what to do now?

    try finding it this way. First click on browse then go through these steps in explorer:

    1. explorer
    2. this computer
    3. Windows-SSD
    4. Program
    5. EA games
    6. The sims 4
    7. Game
    8. Bin
    9. Scroll down in the Bin folder
    10. Click on TS4_x64
    11. It will be added automatically in the list
    12. Then click on alternative button and change graphic cards preference
