Managed to fix my problem where it crashes during launch after update

So I tried everything possible and that was recommended to do. But what worked for me, is to go to settings on your pc and then to display-graphic. From there you should scroll down till you see The ...

Having this issue and it's driving me nuts. Hoping this solution works only problem is sims 4 is not showing as an app for the graphic options and when I try and select it from my files it doesn't work. I'm so confused. 

I have uninstalled the app, restarted my computer, my boyfriend tried a million things to help. I want this to be the solution but I can't even execute it. Any advice?
