How often does the bug occur? Since I tried the memory boost, each time I try to play
What is your current game version number? 1.118.242.1030 DX11
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except some mini kits
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Activate the memory boost, load your current save, (it doesn't), come back to main menu, disable the memory boost, quit the game. Lauch the game, open the menu and see that the memory boost doesn't want to be disabled et now you can not play on your saves before the memory boost
What happens when the bug occurs? I can not disabled the memory boost and even 'automatic' (my setup before I touch it) doesn't able to play my existing saves. I can not start a new one because the game crash automatically.If I try to load my current save. It is not my current save but an empty one with impossible saving.
When I manage options (in 'others' ) the game doesn't save it. And now I can't play my save, I can't play a new game. I can't play at all.
What do you expect to see? The memory boost would be able or disable as I want and I could play on my old saves before this option. And actually ... I just want to play again
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? No. Absolutely nothing
Haydeelee Did you add the new exe to your antivirus program ?
crinrict Yes it's ok for my antivirus. I can launch the game, but I can't open a save or run a new one..
I have code error 22. It's only since I tryed the memory boost. Yesterday I didn't touched anything and I could play as usual (even start the event ;))
Finally I uninstall and reinstall the game and still the same problem.
UPDATE: RESOLVED !!
As the problem is on configuration I understand It could resolved if I could delete the configuration file. But I don't know wich file contain the memory boost setup data.
So I deleted the "Sims 4" folder in /documents/Electronic Arts.
Launch EA app. Repair the game. Launch the game without the sims 4 folder, try "new game". Exit the game.
paste my old save in the new "Sims 4" folder the game created. Lauch the game and ... it works ! I can play my favorite save 🎉
