missing DLC

Hey,

I'm Kind of confused on whats happening....

on the 22nd July i bought  a code from a G2A seller for The Sims 4 Cottage Living for Origin... the Seller has a 99% seller rating and when i put the code in it redeemed no problems there.

at the time i couldn't download it because the game wasnt released till 6pm UK time but after 6pm  the game would tell me i own the DLC and i can play it after downloading... but  the DLC page says i need to buy it and im kinda screwed if i have to re-download the game..for obvious reasons.

today is the 23rd July and I've spoken to 3 different people from EA .. 1 told me to clear cache..that failed, another  told me to wait until the release time which i did..both of these from chatting on live Chat.. the 3rd i emailed today and waiting to get back to me. i feel like im going around in Circles... especially with one asking me to buy it again..which i strongly disagree with...but any ideas  to help guys?

this is honestly frustrating me and i want this Glitch to be fixed.

i refuse to buy it again...

    @AndreaHope  If you open your Origin game library and view the Sims 4 expansion packs, do you see a Download button for Cottage Living?  There may be two entries for the pack, one of which says Buy Now and the other Download.

    If clicking the Download button does nothing, try enabling automatic game updates in Origin, then closing it and restarting your computer.  The option is under Application Settings > Application > Client update.

    Hey Thanks for getting back to me... my Origin software already has  automatic game updates on and same for my Origin games...thats how i managed to download the DLC.. but as for the DLC... 1 version says Installed and i can't view its page..just what its about..and as for the other one..i can view its page but i would have to buy it again.. i attached screenshots below

    @AndreaHope  Having two Cottage Living entries is normal, at least to some extent, and doesn't mean that your game is broken.  (It has something to do with the bonus content that's supposed to be available for people who buy the pack before September 2, but that's its own issue.)  The question is whether the pack appears in-game for you.  Please check both whether the world is present and whether you can place any of the new items.  If not, repair your game and look again.

    i have the world, items etc...the only thing i DON'T have is the  Pre-order Bonus Items

    @AndreaHope  The missing bonus content is a known issue:

    Some players have been able to convince EA customer support to grant the items, but even if that doesn't work for you, you can keep an eye on the thread for updates.  Since we were told that anyone buying or registering a copy of the pack before September 2 should receive the items, there's a good chance EA will fix it for the rest of us.

    @erinestellelane2  Are you running the Legacy Edition?  If so, Cottage Living won't work, and neither will any other pack released after October 2019.  If this is the issue, you can request a refund from EA customer support.  Even though Sims 4 packs are generally not eligible for refunds, support often makes an exception in these cases.

    If you're not sure what version you're running, load the game to the Main Menu, and look for the number along the bottom of the screen or in the lower right corner.  Numbers that end in .1030 or .1230 are for the standard edition of Sims 4, and .1530 and .1630 denote the Legacy Edition.
