Missing game packs

As of this morning when I load up the Sims4 game it shows that my saves need additional packs and shows 15 missing packs.  When I look at the pack info it shows that I own all of these packs but it shows them as missing on the load screen. If I go ahead and load the save then it removes some content from the lot and when I go to worlds it shows only the first 3 as being available even though I have several more installed.

I am runnign the game through EA Play and I have the Xbox gamepass/ea play membership but I own the Sims4 and all of the packs that are being shown as missing and again when I go into the pack info stuff within the game it shows that I own all of those packs.

What do I need to do to correct this issue?

  • @Lord-Volton  Try repairing the game in the EA App: open your game library, hover over the Sims 4 icon, click the three dots in the upper-right corner, and select Repair.

If this doesn't work, try repairing in Origin.  Clear its cache first:

    https://help.ea.com/en/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

You can have both Origin and the EA App installed on the same computer, you just can't run them both at the same time.  If you get an error when trying to open Origin, open the Task Manager and kill the EABackgroundService.exe, or restart your computer.

@puzzlezaddict Interesting. I had tried the repair from teh EA app a couple of times with no luck. Once I closed down the EA app and launched the game from Origin everything seems to be as it should. I didn't really do anything other than close EA app and start Origin. That is a bit odd as it was working fine yesterday but hey working now so.

    Thanks for the assist.

@Lord-VoltonYeah, this. If I ever have any problems with the EA beta app what seems to fix it is closing it, opening the origin app, and then closing that and reopening the EA beta app. Sometimes if the game is also on EA play which I pay for through xbox,  I have to open the xbox pc app and then it'll work again on EA beta. Pretty much need three apps to successfully run one.. 😛
