Missing sims 4 expansion packs

This sounds like a familiar bug that has been happening recently, see thread below:

You might try deleting Origin's Cache, and if that doesn't seem to help try uninstalling/reinstalling Origin.

I have received on line help on 2 occasions re missing content (both Getting To Work and City Living).. The advisors on line each time talked me through the Steps To Clear The Cache two different ways (which was a bit odd). The thing is, possibly due to my ISP giving rubbish download speeds, when it came to re-installing, the process took 27 - 30 hours (I accept that's my problem not EA's). However, on the second day on both occasions, Origin decided to interrupt with an update and both times the missing content, which was in the queue to be installed disappeared from the queue, and I was left without the content and so was back without the required Expansion Packs. Is there a way of recovering the missing Expansions without wasting two days of my life and Origin screwing things up in the middle of it?

The only way I can think of it to try downloading it again. If you have a laptop, you might be able to take it to a friend's house, library or coffee shop and try using their Wifi to download it.

Maybe @crinrict has some other ideas.

I had this problem too only mine completely disappeared off my account and I bought mine online years ago, I tried speaking to a game advisor and they shoved me off saying they couldn't help me. I still cannot figure out what happened nor what to do. The game shows my families but I cannot play them or characters have been removed because the pack is gone.
