More Lots having issues

Hi team,

I am still having issue entering Von Windenburg Estate lot, the 64x64 lot in the Crumbling Isle in Windenburg - the game endlessly loads when I try to get in, and if I go through it via Build Mode, it will instantly close the game when make changes or try to exit.

But now I am also having issues with two lots: Inner Circle in Mirage Park, Del Sol Valley (40x30) and Inked Inlet in Iverstad, Nordhaven (20x20). Same issue with the 64x64 lot - endless loading or crashing.

Any updates to this?

I've tried playing with mods and with no mods and I get the same issue.

  • DJGeoRob  Does this only happen in one save, or are the lots affected in a new save (with no mods) as well?  Please test and let me know.  And if only the one save is affected, I'd like to know what changes you've made to the lots, if any, for example placing a Gallery build there or building yourself.

    puzzlezaddict hello! So I only have one save game. I will try to create a new save game later to check if it carries over.

    All lots have houses downloaded from the gallery. Earlier today I was able to get into Von Windenburg Estate and bulldoze the lot but when I tried getting out it took forever to get out of.

    Do you think also the size of my save file has something to do with it? It's now around 100k KB and has 450 played Sims (all of them creating an entire story)...

    @puzzleaddict Hello again. Some updates:

    • I opened a new save and Inked Inlet and Inner Circle are working okay, mods or no mods. Von Windenburg Estate still crashes.
    • I tried entering the lots from the old save and I was able to enter Inked Inlet from Build Mode, but the game crashes once I click save.
  • DJGeoRob  The size of your save may be part of the issue.  Large saves tend to fall apart eventually, although how long that takes can vary quite a bit.  And I'm not saying that your save is about to be unplayable, only that you should keep an eye out for signs of spreading corruption.  I would also keep backups, and maybe back up your households and any lots you wouldn't want to lose.  If you don't need the backups, great; if you do, you'll be glad you made them.

    I would try bulldozing the other two lots in your main save and see what happens.  For the Von Windenburg lot, there isn't an easy way to fix it if it crashes or locks up the game even when you bulldoze it.  But as a test, I'd still suggest saving an almost-blank 64x64 lot and placing it over the current lot, to see whether that lets you exit.
