mortimer goth is dead

in the sims 4 i created my own sims and i played with them for a while. then i chose to play with goth family and i realized that mortimer goth is dead and bella have a relationship with someone. this can be possible? and how i can learn why mortimer is dead?

    if you enabled aging yeah it's possible.
