Mouse freezes on home screen.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure, when I load the game, as soon as its on the home page.
What happens when the bug occurs? my mouse just freezes. I cannot unfreeze it when the sims 4 is full screen, only if the sims window is minimized on my PC will the mouse not freeze.
What do you expect to see? The mouse frozen as soon as the game loads in full screen mode so I cannot play. I expect my mouse to be functional the entire time in full screen mode, not just when the window is minimized.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
I have also purchased the pastel pop kit and it will not download. Every time I press download it just doesnt do it.
