Mouse jumps to middle of my screen since new update

Since the new update, my cursor has been jumping to the middle of my screen. I have updated all my drivers, restarted my PC, deleted and reinstalled the game, messed with the fullscreen, deleted and disabled all of my mods, bought a new mouse, turned off all overlays from discord and other apps that might've been causing it. I'm genuinely so stumped at what could be causing this at this point. It only happens in the game, not the main page or any other game or app on my computer.

    @puzzlezaddict I found a fix!

    i reset my entire laptop, lol.

    No idea why whatever was causing the issue refused to make itself known, but my game works.

    I’ll take it 🤷‍♀️

    @cxraleigh  You did the dxdiag correctly, although it's missing some information at the end that might be relevant.  That's because the dxdiag crashed while running, which could be a random glitch or could be a sign of a system issue.  So please start with a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

    Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.

    Try again to play, in both fullscreen and windowed modes and with all overlays disabled, in case that's part but not all of the issue.  If that doesn't help, try playing in a clean boot:

    The one service to leave enabled is the EABackgroundService, which the EA App needs in order to run.  Disable the rest as described.

    When you reboot your computer, go through the Task Manager's background processes list shutting down any service that doesn't absolutely need to be running, for example anything from MSI Afterburner to RGB software might still be enabled.  If you accidentally kill a critical process and it doesn't restart on its own, just reboot your computer again.

    Don't open anything other than Sims 4 and the EA App while testing, not even a browser window.

    If that doesn't help either, please post a new dxdiag.

    @puzzlezaddict

    This is what popped up

    Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them.
    For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at
    windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline
    repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.
    PS C:\Users\coral>

    Tried sims again, with the windowed full screen and fullscreen. Did not work.

    Did the reboot, followed the steps and launched sims. It would not launch. Rebooted again, it launched, but still have the mouse issue.

    I attached another DxDiag I just did.

    @cxraleigh  Do you have any other peripherals connected, and if so, does it help to disconnect them?  Even if you don't think the accessory should have any effect on Sims 4, or mouse movement, please test anyway.

    I've also asked someone else to take a look at this thread for a second opinion.  They or I will get back to you about that sometime soon.
