Hi yall!
I has this following error message torturing my girlfriend and my friend for a good while in Sims 4 untill i accidentally came up with a solution that works great at least with these two computers!
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: TS4.exe
Application Version: 1.0.625.10
Application Timestamp: 53ed5fc4
Fault Module Name: TS4.exe
Fault Module Version: 1.0.625.10
Fault Module Timestamp: 53ed5fc4
Exception Code: c0000005
Exception Offset: 00078e60
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1035
It starts loading the game but crashes after a while without ever reaching the white screen with green Sims 4 text on it.
I tried updating every driver and microsoft visual c++ without any luck.
Then i tried to launch it in a "window mode" by putting a -w into a command line(?) of the Sims 4 quicklaunch icon that i have on the desktop and it WORKED!
- So right click your Sims 4 quicklaunch icon
- Select "PROPERTIES"
- Select "SHORTCUT" sheet
- and to the "TARGET" line you should write to the very end -w
My friends "TARGET" line looks like this:
"D:\The SIMS 4 Deluxe Edition\Game\Bin\The.Sims.4.Launcher.exe" -w
Im not sure if it could be this simple to everyone or not but hey atleast couple of games has been started this way 🙂
and the best thing is that game still doesnt start in window, it starts in fullscreen! Just change the resolution to what you want and keep ingame setting to fullscreen and it works well.
Hope this helps you fellow gamers out there!
i do play the game in windowed mode.
