I haven’t touched the game in about a month until 3 days ago. I can barely move the screen from one sim to another, it takes like 5 seconds. I have no idea if some sort of update did this or what but it came out of nowhere. I’m pretty sure mods are up to date and everything. Could anyone please help!?
VeeBee31 Have you tried removing your Mods folder? If not, please do that now, and make sure your mod manager doesn't reinstall those mods. It's very possible that this update broke one or more of your mods, and that could cause the game to lag.
If that doesn't or didn't help, please try a new save, for comparison's sake.
Your dxdiag shows that your laptop's graphics driver is quite old, but there's no indication that the driver is crashing or otherwise affecting Sims 4, so let's try the simpler troubleshooting steps first. Your laptop is also somewhat low on free storage, but likely not enough to affect how it runs the game.
