My homepage is glitched and its not my mods.

I was able to play the Sims without any problems until July 3rd. I updated my game and my mods on the same day as the update, so July first. I did download 3 mods on the 2nd, and when I went to play the day after it was broken which was very confusing because the only mods I downloaded were updated mods like UI cheats. So I removed my mod folder and disabled mods in the game also and this glitch was still there when I opened the game again. (I also have better exceptions and it always says that it found 0 trait mods that could affect my game)

I've repaired my game multiple times and the only way I can get rid of it is if I click resume game(which is the only working button besides the almost invisible "load new game" button) and then go back to the home page after that. But even then, it still returns to looking like this when I exit out of the game. Its starting to get annoying and asking online is my last resort. I'm starting to think that this is just the game itself and if it is I hope EA fixes it soon.

  • Adwoa27  To be clear, does this happen with your Mods folder removed and with absolutely no mods or custom content added back; AND after you've loaded a save, saved your progress, quit, and reloaded the game?  Please try all of this together if you haven't already.

Yes it does, I completely removed and disabled my mods folder and mods in the game, the home page was still glitched. The only difference was the fact that I was loaded into the game faster and I was able to save and exit just as fast which was expected. I also repaired the game without the mods and it was still glitched.

  • Adwoa27  To be thorough, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save, save your progress, quit, reload, and have a look at the Main Menu.
