My mouse cursor seems to be on autopilot

When I launch the Sims 4, my mouse cursor moves to the top of the screen, when I am not moving the mouse. I will hold my mouse completely still and the cursor moves up. I can move it down but if I am not actively moving it in another direction, it just goes up.  This does not happen in any other app as far as I know and it just became a problem in the last week or so. I am playing on PC.

    @mamahamburgers  Please disable any apps you use that include overlays: Discord, Steam, etc.  Disable the EA App in-game overlay too.

    If that doesn't help, please test with a different mouse if you have or can borrow one.  Even though this mouse isn't acting up anywhere else, it's worth confirming that the problem isn't the mouse itself.
