My new mods folder won't let me get CC
So a Little after my last post I decided to get help with my game so I called the sims team(this is what they told me they asked me to name my OG mods folder "Mods folder old" and my new one "mods folder new" and it worked) so my game is now working but. when I got in the game realized ALL my CC has been taken out. So I decide because I have a new mods folder I check to see if my mods are in it they are not so I check mods folder old they are there so I put my CC into my new mods folder and all my CC is just gone. I know this is not a big deal but I would like some help :D
@SaphiraChrist Okay, let's start from the beginning. Open Documents > Electronic Arts and move the Sims 4 folder to the desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. Your saves and other user content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily not read by the game. Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just load a new save to make sure it works. Make sure to enable mods and custom content again, since they'll be off by default.
If the new save is fine, download ONE mod or cc item, add it to Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods, load the game, and see whether that item is present. If it is, you can start adding more mods and/or cc to the same Mods folder a little at a time; be sure to keep testing the game. If it stops loading or you get an error, you'll know that something in the last batch of files is a problem, and you can remove the entire batch or test the files in smaller groups until you find the problem.
When all your mods and cc are in place, you can copy your saves to the new Sims 4 folder; they're inside saves, unsurprisingly.
